About Us
Softriger is an artisan-led rug house based in Casablanca, Morocco. Founded in 2024 by Yassine El Idrissi, we partner directly with Amazigh cooperatives in the Middle and High Atlas Mountains to bring one-of-a-kind, hand-woven rugs to modern homes—without compromising the fair pay, natural materials, and storytelling that make each piece unique.
Craftsmanship You Can Trace
From the moment raw wool is sheared in the High Atlas to the final knot tied on a traditional wooden loom, every Softriger rug moves through hands—not machines. We visit each cooperative in person, pay above-market rates, record the weaver’s name and village, and photograph the piece before it ever leaves Morocco. That provenance data follows the rug all the way to your home, so you know exactly who wove it, where its natural dyes were sourced, and how many weeks of work each pattern required.

Fair-trade contracts: Each cooperative signs a written agreement guaranteeing payment that exceeds local market rates and arrives up-front, not months later.
Natural materials only: Pure sheep-wool pile, cotton warp, and plant-based dyes; never synthetic blends or chemical colourants.
Low-impact shipping: Orders ship in recycled-kraft packaging, and you can opt to offset the carbon footprint at checkout for less than the price of a coffee.
